Alumni Reunion 2025: Stories Told, Lessons Learned
Last Saturday was one of those rare days that reminded us why community matters so deeply.
We watched potential students listen (really listen!) as current students opened up about their journeys. And by evening, our alumni shared heartfelt stories of life post their studies at ACC: the triumphs, the stumbles and the moments that shaped who they have become.
Key messages from our alumni:
* Internships matter and they are tough to secure. Rejections are part of the process. Keep growing, keep trying and trust your direction.
* Start early. Even during A-levels, doors can open and sometimes in places closer to home than you expect. Network hard.
* A “no” is not a judgement. Do not take it personally. It is simply a step toward the right fit.
* Loneliness will visit. Leaving a vibrant Abbey College boarding community for life in London can feel overwhelming and isolating. Give yourself grace and know it is part of finding your footing. Learn to be comfortable with moments of loneliness.
* Your people matter. Old school friends often become the anchors that steady you in new chapters.
